Meals are not included so you can experience Japan just like a local. Every neighborhood you visit — from Asakusa and Shibuya to Arashiyama and Dotonbori — is filled with hundreds of food options: ramen shops, sushi counters, bakeries, street snacks, themed cafés, and more. Instead of limiting you to preset group meals, you’ll have the freedom to choose what you want to try each day.

During free time, you can enjoy lunch or dinner anywhere you like, and we will always provide recommendations based on your preferences.

Estimated daily food cost:

Most travelers spend $25–$40 per day on meals (ramen ~$8–$12, convenience-store meals ~$5–$8, desserts/snacks ~$3–$6, casual dinners ~$10–$20). Japan offers options for every budget.

Local Train Transportation:

Local trains are not included because of how active the itinerary is — averaging 15,000 to 18,000 steps per day. Some travelers may prefer to walk more, others may choose taxis or Uber for convenience, especially at night or after long activities.

You will receive an IC transit card, which you can recharge at any time and use for trains, buses, and even to make purchases at convenience stores, Pokémon Center, Uniqlo, and many shops across Japan. This gives complete freedom to move at your own pace and explore comfortably.

Around $8–$18 per day for local trains.

The daily cost estimates provided above are based on the average spending of a typical traveler in Japan — someone who eats at local restaurants, convenience stores, and casual dining spots, and mainly uses the local train system for transportation.

Actual expenses may vary depending on personal choices.

Guests who prefer premium or themed dining, shop more frequently, or use Uber/taxis instead of trains will naturally spend more. Likewise, some days may be lower-cost due to lighter activities or shorter travel distances.

Return & Refund Policy

At Sakura Traveling Japan, we understand that plans can change.

Because our tours require advance purchases of flights, hotels, transportation, and attraction tickets, we follow a clear and fair cancellation policy:

Cancellation Policy

• 100% refund if canceled within 48 hours of purchase.

• 75% refund if canceled more than 120 days before the tour start date.

• 50% refund if canceled 90–120 days before the tour start date.

• No refunds for cancellations made less than 90 days before the tour start date, as all reservations, tickets, and accommodations are already prepaid and non-refundable.

Transfer Policy

If you cannot attend, you may:

• Transfer your spot to another person for an extra cost if applicable depending the airline (up to 30 days before the tour).

• Move your reservation to another available tour date, subject to availability and price differences.

Because these are paid immediately to secure your spot, the following are not refundable once purchased:

• Airline tickets
